About the Government

The Free Republic of Campfira is a constitutional republic with a collective head of state and a parliamentary head of government. Sovereignty rests with the Citizens, exercised through the Citizens' Assembly and the offices established by the Basic Laws.

Identity

The official names of the Republic are:

  • Free Republic of Campfira (English)
  • Libera Republica Campfirae (Latin)
  • République libre de Campfira (French)

The national motto is Lumen et Calor, meaning Light and Warmth.

Founding principle

Sovereignty rests with the Citizens, exercised through the Citizens' Assembly and the offices established by the Basic Laws.

Government in the Republic is divided between a collective head of state (the Founders Council), a legislative body (the Citizens' Assembly), an executive (the Prime Minister and the Cabinet), an independent judiciary (the Court of Arbitration), and an independent constitutional office (the Privacy Auditor).
